KITCHENER — You’ve got another day to prepare for a day-long closure of King Street south from Fairway Road, a busy commuter route between Cambridge and Kitchener.
Originally, paving between Fairway and the Highway 8 ramps south of the Grand River was set for Tues., July 20. According to Waterloo Region road officials, work is now scheduled Wed., July 21 for the same time: 6 a.m. to 9 p.m.
The traffic detour around the full closure of King is nearby Highway 8. That’s already a crash-prone construction zone, so prepare for a slow drive all day in south Kitchener – especially in the morning and late afternoon.
